Flashback on Lugome's trips home. Mungu Ibariki kibindu!

God bless our village and its people,
May love be 'King' among us,
May those who wish to our demise get weak and weak.
In togetherness, we can only get stronger.

Education first! Elimu Kwanza!

I went back home ( to the village) last year. It was great being home again. I did visit the school and organised some sporting events and attended a meeting with the village school committee. I expressed my frustration about the lack of teaching staff  and corporal punishments. Some things just landed on deaf ears.

I think there is light at the end of the tunnel. People are coming to realise the value of hard work, when it come to education.
Yes, Kilimo kwanza ( Agriculture first! ), but i beg to differ:
Elimu kwanza!
Elimu kwanza!
Elimu kwanza!
( Education first! )

Watoto warudishwa nyumbani. Kisa! .........

I know a place.

Evergreen land,
Ever shining sun,
Smiley faces,
The magic rainbow over the field will lead you to this place.
A place where we can all carry on.
We can all share this if we put our minds to it.
Mungu ibariki Kibindu ( God bless Kibindu)
