Kibindu Primary school. The Journey begins

Kibindu Primary school in the north-western corner of the Coast region in Tanzania is in desperate need for education facilities. For the last 3 years conditions of the classrooms and teacher's houses has deteriorated. A stormy weather destroyed  a big part of the school which have left over 1000 kids with no adequate learning space. The school is staffed by only 7 teacher. It is becoming tricky to recruit teachers to come to the village as housing is not up to scratch.

For the last 2 months there have been a huge drive from the people  to bring change to all this. Voluntary donations from everyone who studied in the school , the villagers and friends of Kibindu  has been mobilised to raise cash to renovate the school.
You can  follow our progress in here.

This one of the Teachers house.  It is impossible to do the job properly living in these conditions.

We can change this. Together.

We made a great start:

Mr Omari Mtiga ( checked shirt on the left) at the site of the new classroom construction. A dedicated man to the project.
